CAPE COD SAR SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM
Program Overview: Cape Cod Salvage and Recovery is proud to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program, offering transitioning service members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the underwater salvage and recovery industry. Our program is designed to provide valuable training and real-world experience, preparing participants for successful careers in the marine industry.
Program Objectives:

Provide comprehensive training in underwater repairs, structural inspections, and mooring ball installations.

Equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the marine industry.

Program Structure:

Orientation and Safety Training (1 Week)

Introduction to Cape Cod Salvage and Recovery
-
Overview of company policies and procedures
-
Comprehensive safety training, including diving safety protocols and emergency procedures

Technical Training (4 Weeks)
-
Underwater Repairs: Techniques and best practices for hull maintenance, propeller repairs, and patching leaks
-
Structural Inspections: Methods for inspecting underwater structures such as piers, docks, and bridges

Mooring Ball Installation: Procedures for installing and maintaining mooring balls

Hands-On Experience (8 Weeks)

Participants will work alongside experienced divers and marine professionals on real projects

Opportunities to apply technical training in real-world scenarios

Regular feedback and mentorship from senior team members

Project Management and Leadership (2 Weeks)

Training in project planning, execution, and management

Leadership skills development, focusing on team coordination and communication

Exposure to client interactions and customer service best practices

Final assessment of skills and knowledge acquired during the program

Certification of completion from Cape Cod Salvage and Recovery

Assistance with resume building and job placement support

Eligibility:
-
Active duty service members within 180 days of separation
-
Must meet the physical and medical requirements for diving
-
Strong interest in pursuing a career in the marine industry
